The base camp for the Deoban weekend trek is Chakrata. Chakrata is less than 330 km from Delhi. It is just a night train away. The trek is 15 km long. It is a wonderful weekend trek to do in October, November, and December as well. Post December there is too much snow on the trails. Post winter, we run the trek in March and April.

In just two days, the Deoban trek offers what most of our longer Himalayan treks offer - stunning views of mountain peaks, a beautiful forest section with a thick canopy, unending green meadows, and easy access.

The Mukta Top trek is a fairly newer Himalayan Trek. It is located about 430 km from Delhi. During winter, that is December through mid-March temperature can go down to -5. During summer, that is from March to June the temperature are around 12-13 degrees during the day, and negative temperatures at night. The entire trek distance is 28 km.

The Bhrigu Lake Trek is a trek close to Manali. The months of June, July, August, and September are the best times to do this trek. The total distance of this trek is 20 kms. In this 20 km stretch, you will see some of the most beautiful treks in the Manali region.

Further, this is a trek that is steeped in mythology. It is known as the place where the famous saint Maharishi Bhrigu sat in deep meditation. Further, you also get stunning views of Hanuman Tibba on this trek.

The Beas Kund Trek is approximately 550 km from Delhi - a nights journey away. For a Himalayan trek to be this close to a city, it's a blessing in disguise for trekkers.

Post summer, mid-June, July, and August is a great time to do the Beas Kund Trek. The temperature during this time of the year is around 18-20 degrees during the day at lower campsites, and about 5-6 degrees at higher campsites. At night, you can expect the temperature to reach 1-2 degrees.

It is a great trek for first time trekkers, seasoned trekkers, as well as trekkers that wish to trek solo.

The trek takes you from one lake to the other, from Tarsar, to Marsar, and then to Sundarsar. You also get to camp beside two of these stunning lakes. In this aspect, Tarsar Marsar is better than the Kashmir Great Lakes trek.

It does rain during July, and trek in Kashmir are indeed a monsoon trek. But it lies mostly in the rain shadow region of India.

The best time to do the trek is in September. In October it begins to snow, and this region gets extremely cold. The weather on this trek is pleasant. Especially day time in summer where temperature at between 14 to 16 degrees.

You must do this trek because it is an unusual, special pass. It begins from the lush green valleys of Kullu through a narrow gorge-like valley to an overhang high in the mountains. From the pass, you can see the entire Spiti valley in one wide panoramic sweep.

The Kedartal Trek is a difficult trek compared to other Himalayan treks.  Indiahikes opens batches in May and June. This trek is for experienced trekkers, and adventure lovers. The trek climbs to the glacial Kedartal lake, that is surrounded by big mountains. Some of the most famous mountains of our country rise in front of you in this cauldron – Mt Thalaysagar, Mt Bhrigupanth, Nanda Parvat, Mt Jogin, and Mt Gangotri.
