The road that takes us to Sari is one that follows the Alaknanda all the way and it would have been a crime not to get up close with the Ganges. The pain subsided, Bir and I sang our hearts out while traversing the life-threatening path. We took 2 hours to reach down the hill through a 45-minute route; everyone clapped looking at us in glee. People speak of life after life, here, on such paths – life is in every step you take, every decision you make, every movement, good or bad, right or wrong, everything bottles down to one thing – you are alive and that’s all that matters.
