In the history of Indian trekking, Indiahikes has played a pivotal role. We have changed and grown trekking in India. Indiahikes has made trekking accessible to a new generation of Indians.
We have done this by bringing in new and exhaustive trek information, opening new trekking trails, setting new ways of trekking, bringing in new safety systems, introducing cutting edge trek equipment, and fundamentally changing how waste is managed on treks.
The impact of Indiahikes on Indian trekking is enormous. We have the legacy and responsibility of taking trekking forward.

We are the last stop for anyone who is looking for trekking related information in India. Our website is the largest database of trekking information in India. Simply put, we don’t go to Google. Google comes to us for information.
With this information no one must need an organisation to go trekking. They must be able to trek on their own.
Everyone at Indiahikes imbibes this. Even someone working in Finance knows a vast amount of trekking information. Trekkers must feel this simply by interacting with us.
We create unique trek experiences
Indiahikes has always defined how trekking must be. Creating a unique trek experience is a way to define the future of trekking.
This is not left to a specific team. For example the experience a mule man has with Indiahikes defines how he treats our trekkers. He goes out of his way to make the trekkers’ experience unique. But first, his experience with Indiahikes must be unique. He must feel his treatment at Indiahikes is something that he has not experienced before. He feels cared for, his payments are before time, his family and mules are look after well.
When a person calls us on the phone, we don’t answer a call. We try to create an unique experience so that the conversation is remembered for a long time.
We are sustainability champions
We believe in leaving our mountains better. At Indiahikes we have taken the responsibility of bringing in systems that make trekking more sustainable. This is our Green Trails project.
To do this, every member at Indiahikes moves towards being a sustainability champion. We set examples leading a natural, clean and green way of life.
Being a sustainability champion requires considerable personal sacrifices. We buy little or no packaged goods, we rarely drink soft drinks, we don’t buy things that add to litter. We lead the life of minimalists. We also strongly advocate this way of life to our friends and family. This is not easy. Yet, Green Trails is a value that needs to be lived, not just propogated.
We promote active fitness
We expect trekkers to be fit for our treks. It holds true for us as well. If we are unfit, then we have little right to ask trekkers to be fit on our treks. Being fit is a way of life. It promotes healthy and good living.
Everyone at Indiahikes is expected to be fit. The idea is to be able to do a Himalayan trek anytime. Working here, we get unexpected calls to go on treks. If we are not on regular fitness routines, then such treks are out of reach.
Relationship comes above business
We believe an organisation is not about markets, products, services or profits. It is about building strong relationships. The stronger the relationships the more robust is the organisation.
Strong relationships are not about making friendships. It is about being intimately concerned about the well being of people around you.
Trekkers with whom we have strong relationships always recommend Indiahikes. Similarly, leaders, staff and colleagues with whom you have strong relationships understand Indiahikes core values better.
With those we have strong relationships, they go out of their way — pitching in with things that is not in their line of business. They understand that you are deeply concerned about them and their growth. Relationships come above costs or profits.
Relationships are not casual conversations. There’s a big difference between making friends and building relationships. Relationships are not selective. They are universal and involve everyone in the organisation, including trekkers. Relationship help progress work.

At Indiahikes we are defining the future of trekking in our country. Working here is interesting, involving, invigorating, demanding but never boring. We are doing futuristic work.
What we do impact lives of others in a big way. It is not only lives of our trekkers but everyone who is associated with Indiahikes. Very few work environments exist that allow us to do this on an everyday basis.
This adds a deep meaning to our lives.
