Safety on a high altitude trek is a huge concern for everyone, When you’re going on a high altitude trek, you need to be able to trust the person you’re going with. Indiahikes started organising treks in 2008 and changed the way trekking was organised in India.

Over the years, Indiahikes has been able to smooth out rough edges, bring in processes, train people to lead treks with a world-class touch and have won the trust of over 10,000 trekkers. Here’s Arjun Majumdar, the founder of Indiahikes talking about how safe it is to trek with Indiahikes.

 How Indiahikes ensures safety

  • Indiahikes trek leaders are repeatedly trained on safety issues. They are well equipped to handle emergency situations.
  • We have been perfecting our safety operations over several years to adhere with international processes.
  • We carry equipment to take precautions and also ensure safety. Microspikes make it safe to trek on slippery surfaces. Pulse oximeters are used to keep track of trekker’s oxygen saturation. Oxygen cylinders and gamow bags are carried for extreme circumstances.
  • Our local staff are permanent staff of Indiahikes. They are trained on safety processes as well.
