We have some good news for all those who found our Kedarkantha and Brahmatal batches full this winter season.

We have now opened two new routes to these treks!

These are new secluded routes with very little crowd. For treks like Kedarkantha and Brahmatal, this is a very big blessing.

The difference between the old and the new routes is that they start from a different location, go through a different side of the forest but finally get to the same destination and summit. They are exciting, fun and pristine.

You do not miss out on any aspect of the old route. But you get to trek on an exclusive trail.

Here’s a quick peek into the new routes.

Kedarkantha Route 2 – From Gainchwan Gaon

For Kedarkantha, the entire trekking trail of Route 2 is different from the Kotgaon route we usually take. We have opened it knowing that it matches up to our Kotgaon trail. We have done the trek through this route before and trekkers love it!

This trail from Gainchwan Gaon approaches the Kedarkantha summit from the North-West, whereas the Kotgaon base camp approaches it from further East.

Take a look at this map to get a better picture.

Here’s the itinerary for Kedarkantha Route 2

Day 1: Drive from Dehradun to Gainchwan Gaon. We’ll organise transport from Dehradun ISBT at 7 am. IT takes around 8 hours to reach Gainchwan Gaon.

Day 2: Gainchwan Gaon to Julota (5,600 ft to 8,950 ft)

Day 3: Julota to Pukhrola (8,950 ft to 10,800 ft)

Day 4: Pukhrola to the summit and back to Julota (10,800 ft to 12,500 ft to 8,950 ft)

Day 5: Julota to Gainchwan Gaon (8,950 ft to 5,600 ft)

Day 6: Gainchwan Gaon to Dehradun. Reach Dehradun between 6 pm and 7 pm.

Brahmatal Route 2 – From Wan

Our second Brahmatal route is the same trail as the regular one, but starting from the opposite direction. This ensures you do not miss out on the spectacular views of Mt Trishul and Mt Nanda Ghunti from the trail. It also ensures you don’t bump into crowds on the trail.

Here’s the itinerary for Brahmatal – Route 2
