“The trek was brilliant to say the least ! First of all, thanks to Indiahikes for accommodating me in the batch starting 16th of June. This was my second attempt after I returned from the lower waterfall campsite because of high BP (12th May to 20th May 2017 batch). I am really grateful to Indiahikes for giving me an opportunity to go on this trek in the same season at no additional cost. I cannot thank you enough !

Coming to the trek, it was mind blowing. I have never seen a trail with so much variety and so many surprises laden throughout the duration of the trek. Whether it be camping near the river at Dhaula, the wonderful homestays in Sewa and Jiskun, the hanging village Jakha, the beautiful forest cover before the river corrssing enroute to Udaknal, the rhododendron forest cover at Burans Kandi, flower laden meadows before hitting the lower waterfall camp, the snow bridge crossings, the mindblowing campsites at the lower and upper waterfall, the gazillions of stars which we spotted at the waterfall campsites, the Rupin gully crossing, walking down the most beautiful village that I have been to before reaching Sangla – what more can one dream for ? I felt extremely fortunate to be a part of this trail – twice within a span of a month (well, for most parts).

The food prepared at each of the campsite was lip smacking. Hats off to the Indiahikes team for pulling off an amazing feat of flawless logistical arrangements throughout the trek. It was baffling to see the effort it would have taken to set up the campsite (incl. the toilet tents) in places like Udanknal , lower waterfall, upper waterfall and at Rontigad.

The entire IH team was extremely caring – while it is as recurring theme on all the treks that I have been with IH in the past, at Rupin the benchmark for hospitality was set even higher. Also a special mention to the technical folks who did a great job in preparing steps for us at the Rupin gully. It was the fifth time I was trekking with IH and I had a brilliant experience. Look forward to going on more treks with the organisation.”

“The trek was really adventurous. The rains bore unexpected challenges for us on the summit day. Trek Leader Sushant handled the situation well. As for the food, I have one word – sumptuous. Such food at high altitude was totally unexpected. Additionally, the warmth with which we were treated was amazing. I have been with other organisations as well, but my experience with India Hikes was much better.” – Apoorv Gaur, batch of June 2017

“Was great and the best part was the good arrangement. The trek was straightforward and not much guidance was needed. The tents were good but the sleeping bags were not/ that’s the worst part of this experience for me . They were soggy and smelly from probably a previous time when they got drenched and weren’t dried. I did not use one and spent a sleepless night in my woolens.” – Aanandita Bhatnagar, batch of June 2017

“Awesome experience and wouldn’t have been so had it not been with these 3 great guys Mahii, Donda & chaman. They have great leadership skills which we don’t learn out of spending lakhs on education system.. I have learnt few great things from these guys. Commendable team. I was one of the folks who was hurt during the big day trek and trust wouldn’t complete without them. Your team is icing on the cake …Loved every bit of this trek..thank you!!”

“I loved the entire trek. I had a very good experience of meeting some wonerfull people. The experience of crossing the snow was also very good. Going down through the slide was also super. Trek leader and the kitchen staff were very helpful. One thing I would point out is that on the last day it took us too long to get taxi and reach manali. Apart from that it was a very memorable trek.” – Pranav Sheth, batch of June 2017

“I’m glad I decided to do my first high altitude trek with India Hikes, because everything was managed perfectly. Trek trail was amazing! The fresh mountain breeze and fascinating green lush meadows would dismiss all your stress and fill the soul with awe striking views.Trekking towards Bhrigu lake from Rola Khuli was my favorite part because it was all about walking on snow!

Campsites – Gulaba and Rola Khuli were beautiful! Also food was amazing! Honestly i didn’t thought that we would get such a delicious food while on trek! Our trek leader – Abhirup and his team were great. I must say Green trails is the great initiative by India Hikes, best way to respect nature indeed! Looking forward to trek with you guys again!”
