Today marks the beginning of our autumn trek season with the first batch of the Roopkund trek. We’ve got a bunch of other autumn treks lined up that we can’t wait to begin with.

Here are the updates from all our currently running treks

Bhrigu Lake September hues

The Bhrigu Lake no doubt looks stunning under the September light. Trek Leader Ankur says, “We had continuous rains for the first two days but absolutely clear weather after crossing Rola Khuli.”

While the mist has cleared out, the cold is setting in. It gets quite cold at Rola Khuli especially at night. If you’re going on the trek this month then you must carry your four warm layers of clothing, which includes your thermals.

Temperatures dropping at Hampta Pass

Speaking of cold, the temperatures are dropping to as low as 5 degrees at Shea Goru. Trek Leader Himanshu says, “I wouldn’t be surprised if it snows towards the end of this month. It is that cold!”

Even the rainfall patterns have completely changed. It now rains in the Lahaul Valley side of the trek. This means that you can expect rainfall after crossing Shea Goru.

Valley of Flowers experiencing heavy rain

The season for the flowers is coming to an end. The good part about this is that the valley is not crowded anymore.

On the other hand, it has been raining heavily. There was a landslide near Poolna last week which was cleared out in time for the trekkers to reach Govindghat. However, we’ve noticed a pattern that the weather tends to clear out by the 4th day of the trek.

Kashmir Great Lakes season ending this week

The season for our Kashmir treks has come to an end. The last batch of the Kashmir Great Lakes trek will be trekking from Satsar to Gangbal over Zach Pass today.

They both loved the Silver Birch forest on the way from Sonamarg to Nichnai. “The sunlight coming through the trees felt like a scene from Lord of The Rings. It was magical!” says Suhas.

And of course, the lakes were grand, with clouds making the pictures all the more dramatic!

Pin Bhaba Pass Currently on Day 7

The Pin Bhaba trekkers will be trekking from Mangrungse (13,674 ft) to Mudh (12,283 ft) today. Quite a strenuous day! They will be in network area once they come back to Manali on Sunday after 7 pm.

New winter trek opened to Dayara Bugyal

Winter is around the corner and we’ve got the perfect trek for you. The Dayara Bugyal trek is a beautiful meadow trek and when buried under snow, it becomes a magical experience. It is also a great trek for someone who has never been on a Himalayan trek before.
