Team Indiahikes

Interesting, innovative, involving, demanding but never boring.

Around 18 years ago, our founders, Arjun Majumdar and Sandhya UC, started Indiahikes with a straightforward belief — Everyone Must Trek. They wanted to do this by bringing out information about treks and setting the right spirit of trekking in India.

What began as one humble blog post about the Roopkund trek has now blossomed into India's largest database of trek-related information.

Today, we are India's Largest Trekking Community, with over 30,000 trekkers joining the Indiahikes Experience every year. Here's the team that makes it happen.

Indiahikes Leadership Team

Written by Arjun Majumdar: They say you need a great team to start a business. I’ve always wondered how people come up with such misguided ideas. A team doesn’t appear overnight. It takes years of effort, of trial and error. People come, people leave.

But over time, a few stay. They understand the vision. They hold onto the values. They commit themselves to the cause and grow with the organisation. Among these few, some rise to form the heart of leadership.

They carry the organisation forward, not just with skills but with soul. They don’t just understand the values—they live them. They lead with vision, with action, with quiet determination.

At Indiahikes, I’m blessed to have such a team. Each one started from scratch, growing step by step within the organisation. They’ve been here through every high and low. Their scars tell the story of Indiahikes. Every setback, every challenge, every battle has shaped them—and shaped us.

This team is why Indiahikes stands where we are today. Most people don’t know who the true force behind Indiahikes is. It’s time I introduced them to you. This is their story, as seen through my eyes.
