Raghunath Mishra is from a small town called Daspalla in Odisha but has been living in Delhi since 1989, when he joined JNU for his higher studies. Currently, he works as Chief Economist in a Navaratna Central Govt PSU engaged in Oil and Gas exploration.
He enjoys travelling and takes a deep interest in local culture, ecology and economy. Mountains have become his new found passion ever since he travelled to Bhutan – to understand more about Gross National Happiness (GNH) as a measure of economic welfare. Trekking, in particular, has come out of a personal experience and has been like a divine path to follow for him. He has been to Dayara Bugyal and Ali Bedni Bugyal with Indiahikes.
