Talle Valley, a Rare Jungle trek in Arunachal Pradesh

Arunachal Pradesh is hardly on the trekking map of our country. The wealth this state has to offer has been under wraps for too long!  We opened the Talle Valley trek in this state this January.  It goes through the untouched sub-tropical forests of Arunachal Pradesh all the way to the Talle Campsite.

Our Ground Coordinator Prathima went on the very first batch of the trek. She came back blown away by the dense jungle trails and the rich culture of the Apatani tribe.

Watch this video to understand why Prathima thinks this jungle trail is a must do!

    1. Hi Sam, We will be running this trek in Jan-March season. So the dates for next year should be out at the fag end of this year 🙂

  1. I wish u guys could have combined it with the ziro festival. It gives many younger tourists the opportunity to explore in addition to the festivities.

    1. Hi Yamimi,
We will not be running this trek anytime soon. It is possible to trek in Talle Valley on your own. There is a forest department lodge at Pangey that you can book for accommodation on the trail.
If you’re looking for an alternative trek with good jungle trails, you could consider Sandakphu.

  2. hi any updates on dates for arunachal pradesh trek … we are group of 10-15 people who are interested in experiencing trekking in arunachal pradesh next year. (also we would like to add birdwatching/wildlife for 4 days) kindly guide us.

    1. Hi, we are not running the Talley Valley trek anymore as the trail does not have the required infrastructure and support for treks.
