On January 8, 2021, Indiahikes team inaugurated the Western Campus with a beautiful trek to Kothaligad near Karjat. A lot happened over that weekend. And here’s a photo story shared by Finance Manager at Indiahikes, Gautam Singh. During this pioneering trek, Gautam acted as the camp manager.

Tents are set up and waiting for our trekkers at the campsite

Trek Leader Prathima Chhabria holds a briefing session and takes trekkers on a campsite tour upon arrival

Head of Experiential Learning Programs, Izzat Yagnagi, and Finance manager Gautam Singh lovingly serve delicious dinner on the day of arrival at our campsite. Our staff are happy to serve

The next day, trekkers set off on a hike to Kothaligad where they will spend most of their day

Through the trek, trekkers observe nature around them, gather information about the trek, learn about our Green Trails practices, and go through a transformation

Difficult sections and a challenging atmosphere help in building their resilience as individuals and family as a whole

A glimpse from the trickiest section of the trek

At the summit, trekkers reflect upon the four pillars of Indiahikes – Experience, Green Trails, Trekipedia, and Transformation

We do not return empty-handed from a trek. We get sacks full of litter from the trail. We segregate and dispose of it responsibly.

On Day 3, trekkers are treated to healthy sandwiches as an early morning breakfast along with tea

As part of our collaboration with Vijaybhoomi University, the Dean of their Design School, Prof. Pravin takes us through a session that prepared everyone for the next activity called ABCD.

Prof. Pravin draws portraits of objects and our trekkers. It is a part of an initiative called Anybody Can Draw (ABCD)

A happy bunch after the ABCD session by Prof. Pravin.

Back at the campsite, trekkers unpitch the tents, fold their sleeping bags and get ready to end the day with fond memories from so many experiences. They take back many learnings.

Debriefing session by Trek Leader Prathima to conclude the trek experience. They share their experiences of the program and offer constructive feedback on how the entire programme was conducted.
