We hosted the Photo story contest to celebrate our 20,000 followers on Instagram. We got over 100 entries, each entry showcasing some part of the Himalayas. It was hard to choose a winning entry. But here it is! We also have a few honorable mentions that came very close to bagging the first place.

The entries were judged based on the following criteria:

  • Quality of the picture (Clarity, Composition and Light)
  • The narrative of the images in sequence
  • The backstory in the caption

CONTEST WINNER – Subhashis Pal

Subhashis’s entry stood out because of the theme of his story. Also the state animal of Arunachal Pradesh, Mithuns are endemic to this area. His photo story takes us through the Talle Valley Trek and at the same time, showcases the Mithun in interesting settings. In the caption he talks about their awkward and scary encounters with the animal throughout the trek.

Congratulations Subhashis! You have won yourself a trek to Bhrigu Lake and also won goodies from Deuter!
