First Prize: The first prize goes to Shyam!

A postcard shot which everyone wants to carry back home for memories. Photographer has chosen a right time and point of view for this shot. Depth is rightly conveyed using the flowing cold water at the touching distance and the glow on the mountains in the far background. Nicely exposed for the glow and shadow details. Makes me want to be there and experience the bliss directly!

Second Prize: The second prize goes to Mahesh!

Beautiful symmetrical reflection. The patterns formed by reflection using the shadow, light play is very intriguing in this shot. Very well spotted by the photographer!

Third Prize: The third prize goes to Subbu!

A serene scene well captured by the photographer. The rocks at the bottom slowly lead the eyes into the frame from right to left. At the left, the light rays grab the attention, retains all the focus and lets you enjoy the peace and beauty of the place that is portrayed by the photographer. Good job done on the exposure as well.

Here are the shortlisted 15 best photos of the Kashmir Great Lakes trek. Trekkers were asked to submit their best photos from the trek for the contest.
