Today afternoon we heard the news about tremors in the northern part of the country. The epicentre for this earthquake lay in Nepal.

Our teams immediately got into action to ensure all trekkers are safe. Updates started pouring in from the mountains confirming the status.

The Sandakphu-Phalut trek is closest to this region as it skirts the border of India and Nepal. And slope manager Sanket Shitole updated, "We have not felt the tremors at the base camp. On hearing the news, we coordinated with all our teams on the trek to ensure everyone is safe. All teams have updated that treks are going well. All trekkers and our staff are safe."
