Roopkund Photo Contest Results

The Roopkund Photo Contest results are out. With great difficulty, we have selected the top three pictures from the fantastic entries sent by trekkers. Our judge, Prashanth UC, an avid trekker and photography expert, shares his thoughts on the winning photographs.

First Prize: Chaitra V

 “ In trekking beauty we see and seek as the sun plays daily hide and seek.

Simpler the scene gets more we see, Should we aspire in life to reduce than to increase ?”

“ In  far off clouds we have no fear, is that cloud or a storm so near, we fear ?

Is cloud a  distant problem that we chose to ignore,

Having go so close , it wakes us out of morning snore! “

“ As a child I heard stories , fairies floating in clouds

Clouds we met, as we approached our tents up close

Fairies were missing ? or were they there ?

In the form of  sleeping bags that we could snuggle warm and close”

Prizes

The winners get the following awards from Indiahikes.

The winner of the photo contest gets a Rs 5,000 Trek Voucher from Indiahikes.

The second runner up get Rs 3000 Trek Voucher from Indiahikes.

The third runner up gets Rs 2,000 Trek Voucher from Indiahikes.

About our Judge:

Prashanth UC is an avid trekker and photographer.  Interpreting the pictures through short poems is his passion. He trains corporates in sales and marketing, conducts market research, creates corporate anthems / songs through his company Thoughtrain.
