The road from Joshimath to Pulna is still blocked. Valley of Flowers trekkers stay put at Pipalkoti.

Trekkers from the August 13th group got stuck at Pipalkoti due to a landslide between Joshimath and Pulna. The road is yet to be cleared. So the trekkers are staying put at Pipalkoti.

“All trekkers are safe. They will be celebrating Independence Day today at the Army Check Post at Pipalkoti,” updates Tilak Rawat, Experience Coordinator for the Valley of Flowers trek.

Updates from other groups are as follows:

Aug 10: The team has returned to Dhak safely after completing the Valley of Flowers-Hemkund Sahib trek.

Aug 11: After completing the trek to Hemkund Sahib, now the team is at Pulna.

Aug 12: Trekked to Hemkund Sahib and is now at Ghangria.

Aug 13: Team is at Pipalkoti, waiting for the road to open up.

Aug 14: This group is cancelled.

Aug 15: The team is waiting for the road to clear to start their journey from Rishikesh.
